Coretta Bessi is an outspoken and highly respected Procurement thought leader. Her previous executive experience spans across the mining industry with BHP Billiton, heavy manufacturing with BlueScope Steel, telecommunications with Australia’s National Broadband Network nbn and energy utilities with Ausgrid. She has broad exposure having been engaged across the private sector and the public sector as a consultant.
Coretta is incredibly optimistic about the impact that sustainable and responsible Procurement can have on the communities in which we operate and ultimately the world. Her belief of respecting diversity with an unwavering value of being inclusive has led her to be a leading advocate and spokesperson of the talents of females and millennials. Coretta is so committed to the professionalism of Procurement and Supply Chain that she lectured for in excess of twelve years to university masters students.
Coretta is currently the Chief Procurement Officer at Westpac, co-founder of Ladies in Procurement Network, Chairperson of Bravo Women in Procurement Empowerment Programme and Director of St John Ambulance (NSW).
